The weekend that was....

Refusing to behave for a group photo...

Skua Party.

After base duties, which was digging out the fire escapes from snow were finished on Saturday, we are like children let out of school. off to the "Dress up room" to dress each other for the our first party - this was to be a "Skua Party" which meant you had to wear only what you have found in the skua bins and it was a practice run for St Patrick's day next week.

Glen the winter manager was very pleased with the party as there was 100% participation and that was doubled with Americans. Therefore a success!!

Football with a cabbage and leeks rule (the cabbage was plastic but the leek wasn't
And that's all that should be said about the party....

I retired hurt at 1.00am after the table-less tennis tournament...

Sunday Dinner.

We volunteered to help out the chef so that she can have a day off and had a fun night cooking up a storm in the kitchen - Spaghetti Bol with Sangria and fruit as desert. Huge success and we had so many helpers to clean up, everyone is so friendly and helpful. Not that we needed much help as we were one-pot-wonders and made hardly any mess, and it was fun. We found table cloths and fake flowers to make the galley look like a cheesy Italian restaurant....

Yes, the Sangria tasted good, or at least the second bowl did...

Unusual party!

With all those balaclavas in there it looks like a hostage situation... Are you willing to negotiate???
